Electrics at Pukehiki Hall - Rewiring Project

Some of the electrical wiring of the Hall was in a very poor shape and is being repaired. The project to electrically refit the hall entailed the following: Disconnect the power from the building; disconnect internal wiring from the switchboard; replace the switchboard; replace all wiring and light fittings in main hall; replace power supply and lighting to the stage; replace some wiring in the kitchen; replace supply line to the hall; reconnect the power.

Due to limited funds available, the bulk of the work was done with volunteer labour at Working Bees.

The Pukehiki Hall Society is very grateful to the Otago Peninsiula Community Board for a $1000 grant to assist with this urgently-needed rewiring.

Thank you to all those who attended the Working Bees on 27th July and 3rd August, 2013.

And a huge thank you to Maestro Ray Hall for orchestrating, supervising, and these event, plus doing all the final stages of connectup up the switchboard and fittings.

The photos below show some of the activities at the two working bees.
